3x3 tech deal

I still owe dynatec 3MM, his slots are full until the 7th.

Eh, did anyone clear this with Manny before we started? He doesn't seem to be active here. I see he's in peace mode, so he can't send tech... So far I haven't received anything from this deal

Yeah, this thing has gone awry. I'm in a deal with mr bye, bit I can't send him aid until Monday. If you guys don't mind waiting that long (I think my deal includes Krew and Kaninen as well), there's no problem. If that is a problem, you'll need to replace either me or my bye for this thing to work...

Although I fail to understand you reasoning of not wanting to do tech deals.

This whole matter can be resolved by you returning the money Brokeback sent you in two batches. 1.5 million to me, and 1.5 million to Ashen (http://www.cybernations.net/nation_drill_display.asp?Nation_ID=200342). We were expecting tech as part of the 3x3, but 1.5 million is market price for 50 tech so that will do.

Since noone else seems interested in resolving this matter, I trust noone minds that I took initiative to resolve the matter.

So now I'll end up getting 1.5 million of my own money back, and 50 tech delayed on the 11th. I'm so happy I signed on for this

Thanks Ashen for the money, I have just recieved it. Again, the last part of my obligations will be to send Kaninen his 50 tech when our current aid slot expires on Sept 11th.

I'm sorry to hear some of you got delayed with Manny M and the tech deal. I don't understand why he wont tech trade.

I hope we can continue this internal tech trading though. I am organising my aid slots for this to happen without much/any delay next time.

Lets all keep communicating like this and hopefully we'll get it on track next time.

Well, as far as I can tell from the silence in this thread noone ever asked him if he wanted to be part of the deal. Problem remains that he accepted your aid which clearly stated it was for tech.

He hasn't read my last PM. So let's wait and see how he respons to that.

But this does raise questions about what to do about rogue members of the alliance.

Well, we have two issues here.

The first was we didn't consult him before bringing him into the deal. Our mistake.

The second is his participation. I wouldn't call him a rogue member and would find it hard to justify attacking him. I spy op. may be fun (internally), but still, he didn't really do anything to deserve it. Which brings me to my point, does he do anything? I've only seen him post on here 3 times. Once about elections, twice about tech.

I imagine his initial experience with accidentally buying tech is why he has the aversion to doing tech deals. I don't think he understands it. His profile says he is 16 but my guess is that may be a wee bit optimistic.

Anyway, back to my second point, he is active within the game, but not socially. So what are our social requirements? Many of the larger alliances have a lot of members that just bloat their size, but really they are not active.

Where do we stand?

I only just now read all this. I have been out for some days, and only checked upon my own nation very briefly.

I will see if I can talk to Manny about this. He seemed interested enough when he joined, and I explained to him that we do a lot of tech deals, and how they work.
