I don't know if you've done these deals before, so the following might just be old news to you, in which case just ignore me..
Remember NOT to buy new tech BEFORE your sellers have accepted the tech sent to them. Tech quickly increases in cost the more you own, so you could loose your profit if you buy excess tech.
I would also suggest that you spend some of your profit on a foreign ministry, which gives you an extra aid slot, allowing you to do an extra tech deal.
