Steam: DreamKiller review
So Steam had a free play of DreamKiller this weekend. I said "seems interesting, why not." So I DL'd it and played. Since the trail expired Sunday and i didn't have much time to toy around with it I just the game game running on pause (yeah ESC). So anyone who looks at my steam or xfire stats and says WTF this guys played that game for 96 hours and 72 were straight. Well not really. I played for about 7 hours. That's how long it took me to complete it.
My Review:
Midocre game, on par with early Quake or late Doom. It it challenging? Some of the puzzles have you wondering what the developers were thinking and the play itself was fairly easy yet extremely tedious. Not only does it over repetitive on each level but you get to repeat much of that on the final level. It's got some wacky stat system that i'm not sure how it really kept track. By the end I was pretty much head-shot everything and it still only gave me about 1/4 credit for head-shots. It had some creative weapons and a creative plot but fell short of any high hopes.
I give it 5/10. Get it if it's free for your collection, but don't pay over $5.00 for it or look to be amused or challenged or excited.

Re: Steam: DreamKiller review
Xfire hasn't been working for me for the last month so I uninstalled it this week.

Re: Steam: DreamKiller review
I played Dreamkiller as well. Wasn't very exiting. Nice, for a change, but fully agree with Ashen's review and conclusions. I didn't even complete it, as I got tired of it after 3 or 4 levels.
